Fats on Friday — I Believe in Miracles

Thanks to Dominik Feri for the You Tube

I Believe in Miracles was written by Pete Wendling, Sam M. Lewis, and George Meyer. This recording was made January 5,1935 with Herman Autrey, trumpet; Ben Whittet, reeds; Al Casey, guitar; Charles Turner, bass; Harry Dial, drums, and Fats on electric organ and vocal. I think the organ was the right choice for this song.  Fats’ use of the electric organ is perfect for this song; the blend of harmonies, voices, and the smooth action of the organ fits this tune very well. I may have played this tune before, but it’s another of those gems that deserves another spin by Fats Waller and Rhythm.
