Art Tatum – A Gershwin Medley featuring The Man I Love

Thanks again to gullivior for the You Tube and the Painting
This is a George Gershwin medley beginning and ending with The Man I Love. In between are bits of Summertime, I Got Plenty O’ Nuttin’, and It Ain’t Necessarily So.  It took me awhile and some  guesses with the Gershwin sheet music to get all the titles in the medley.  This Tatum set was originally issued on LP by Norman Granz on the Verve Clef Hi Fi label in the 1953. The original LP was titled The Genius of Art Tatum # 2 No source cited for the painting.  A river of music flows through Art Tatum’s fingers.  Thank goodness for Art Tatum and for Norman Granz.
