Fats on Friday The Sugar Blues

The Sugar Blues is another of those little gems recorded in that prolific period in 1935.  It’s another of the spur of the moment sessions that Fats cooked up.  Herman Autry has a fine growling trumpet solo and Rudy Powell follows on reeds.  This is a horn players song  for soloing.  Fats was busy laying on the comedy.
